Our large scale kite installations will be up and flying according to the whims of the wind goddesses. When you see our kites, come on over and join us! Help us fly and you will begin to recall that wonderful joy that happens when you hold a string to the sky. This year, bring your silks and join our graceful dancers as they worship the wind in silent and reverent ritual. Usually, we launch the kites as the winds pick up in the afternoon and we will fly until twilight, after the sun has set.

Want to sing, but someone once said you sounded like a cat in heat? Come to our workshops, taught by a professional vocal coach, and overcome your fears about your voice. Been told you're tone deaf? Not true! Been told you can't sing? Not true! Learn basic music skills, pitch matching, understanding your vocal instrument and harmony... by the end of class we'll be singing in 3 or 4 parts - guaranteed! Come play with us, and get information that will raise your happiness quotient for life!
Live Interactive Painting with Olivia Wilbur Wednesday, 9/1, 3:00 PM
Come join us for an after noon of interactive painting. Fine artist Liv from DOTA will be stretching out a blank canvas for your painting pleasure, accompanied by music, kite flying and the energy of Black Rock City. Each person will paint on the canvas forming a unique piece of art!! No rules just fun!!
B.E.D. Night at DOTA Wednesday, 9/1, 10 p.m.
Premiere of the film "The Line" On Wednesday, 10 pm The Bureau of Erotic Discourse will be premiering "The Line," a 24 minute documentary about one woman's search to understand why she was sexually assaulted. Along the way she interviews a diverse set of women and men (even her assailant) about the nature of consent and how it is expressed. This provocative movie has lead to a campaign to spark dialogue about healthy relationships and consensual sex. We encourage people to watch The Line and discuss how they feel and think about the issues raised. As part of The Line campaign we invite you to express your own line about consent.
